The @Lighter_xyz system is experiencing some strain today, with TPS (transactions per second) significantly higher than usual. This means:
- Slower interface speed: The actual sequencer delay remains low, but the API layer between it and the frontend has slowed down, which is a typical Web2 type issue.
- The time to generate proofs on Ethereum has also increased, thus affecting withdrawal speeds.
Temporary solutions:
- More liquidity is being added for the Arbitrum fast withdrawal bridge.
- Temporary rate limits have been imposed on some API traders (high-frequency traders and market makers) until the system returns to normal.
- Lighter is undergoing a system upgrade, expected to effectively prevent similar issues from occurring again next week.
