Just finished reading @Delphi_Digital's report on @eigenlayer. Here are the main topics I highlighted ↓ Core thesis: EigenLayer is evolving from a restaking protocol into EigenCloud, a decentralized, verifiable cloud computing layer for crypto and AI applications. It aims to bridge Ethereum’s trust network with offchain compute and data, creating a new paradigm for verifiable applications. The verifiable cloud concept: ✦ Problem: Today’s AI and compute infrastructure (AWS, OpenAI, etc.) is closed, unverifiable, and centralized. ✦ Solution: EigenCloud enables a verifiable execution environment, where compute, data access, and proofs are all anchored to Ethereum’s security via restaked ETH. ✦ Goal: Build a trust-minimized compute marketplace, connecting: • Ethereum (trust layer) → verification • EigenLayer (coordination layer) → security & staking • EigenCloud (execution layer) → computation Why important for the $EIGEN thesis? EigenCloud could become a multi-billion-dollar compute marketplace, where verifiable compute replaces trust in centralized APIs. Similar to how Ethereum created programmable money, EigenCloud creates programmable trust for compute. EigenLayer may serve as the coordination layer for both DeFi and decentralized AI ecosystems.
